The category of burial has been considered one of the important cultural elements of societies since the distant past. On the other hand, the method of burial is in many cases connected with religious beliefs and ancient ideas. In this regard, the ritual of burial and mourning in the geography of southern Iran during the Achaemenid period, which was also the throne of the kings, is of special importance. The basics of Zoroastrian thoughts are among the components that have been updated and changed in the formation of mourning and burial in Parse province. Based on the descriptive and analytical approach and relying on objective archaeological evidence, the present essay investigates the diversity of burials and mourning elements of the Achaemenids in the south of Iran and seeks to answer the question of what influences the diversity of burials and mourning in Parsa province.
