Guide and general policy of the Quarterly Journal of Ancient Iranian Studies
Dear authors of articles, to expedite the timely review and publication of the journal, pay attention to the following points:
1) The article should not have been previously published or sent to another publication at the same time. At the time of acceptance of the article for publication, the copyright of the article is transferred to this journal and printing of text, figures, diagrams and tables can be done only with the permission of the publication.
2) The responsible author in parentheses (responsible author) and the co-author without parentheses, degree, university rank, university of teaching / study, e-mail address and mobile phone should be mentioned.
3) The beginning of the paragraphs of the text of the article, except for the paragraphs that appear immediately below the main headlines, should be written at a distance of one centimeter.
4) The article should include the title, author or authors, abstract, introduction, method, findings, discussion and conclusion and sources. The text of the article should be in Persian and the abstract in both Persian and English.
5) In the text of the abstract, the purpose, method, findings and conclusion should be mentioned and should not exceed 270 words. At the end of the abstract, keywords should be mentioned (minimum three and maximum five words).
6) Introduction includes a brief review of the relevant literature, introduction of variables, the relationship between variables and arguments related to the problem, the purpose of the research according to its background and the hypotheses or questions under consideration.
7) All English idioms and nouns must be subtitled.
8) The titles of the tables should be mentioned by mentioning the number above and the pictures, drawings, plans and diagrams should be mentioned by mentioning the number (description and mentioning the source) below.
9) The reference writing method in this quarterly is the APA model. Description (1)
10) The article is between 6500 and 7200 words (maximum 20 pages) by calculating the footnote and the list of sources, and it necessarily has the following structure (explanation 2), which is necessary for the authors of the article to observe this structure.
11) It is necessary to send a scan of the original images and tables.
12) Submission of the article is accepted only through the quarterly system to the address (http://www.historyancient.ir) that the sender of the article registers in the system, and logs in with his user and uses the section for submitting articles to send the article.
13) Articles taken from student dissertations will be published under the name of Supervisor, Student and Counselors jointly and under the responsibility of the Supervisor.
14) The letter of consent of the supervisors and consultants must be attached when sending the article in the system or sent to the journal email.
15) The responsible author of the article is obliged to make all the corrections required of him during the judging or editing process of the article.
16) The commitment form (explanation 3) should be completed and after the signatures of all authors, it should be sent to the magazine's email address through the site.
17) Full responsibility for the accuracy and precision of the text of direct and indirect citations, the address of the sources of the citations, and the bibliographic characteristics of the sources in the bibliography section is with the author responsible for the article.
18) Quarterly journals have full authority in accepting, editing, and editing articles.

References within the text of the article
- Familiarity of the author or famous name, date of publication of the work: cover / page or pages. There is no need to write "c" for the cover and "p" for the page number. Also write the number of pages from right to left; Example: (Abu Shama, 1418: 293 / 4-294).
- If you refer to two or more published works of an author in a year, it is necessary to first distinguish them in the final sources by writing "a", "b" and ... next to the year of publication. And then in internal sources, after the author's family, the year of publication should be written with "a", "b" or ...; For example (Zarrinkoob, 1989 A: 26)

- The direct quote must be enclosed in quotation marks and its address must be enclosed in parentheses in the order indicated.

- The name of the book is written crooked (Iranian); Therefore, avoid blackening or putting it in quotation marks.
- If the author of the source is not known, the name of the work replaces the name of the author.
o References to the article
Author's surname, author's name, title of the article used in quotation marks, name and surname of the proofreader or translator, main title of the encyclopedia or quarterly and journal (Iranian and without mentioning the word journal), period or year of publication, number, number of pages of the article (without Mentioning the letter "PBUH"), date of publication of the work.
o Reference to the dissertation
Author's family name, author name, dissertation title, defended degree, name and family name of the supervisor, name of the university and college where the student is studying, year of defense.
- The name of the doctoral dissertation is skewed (Iranian) and the title of the master's thesis is placed in the quotation mark.
o References to manuscripts and documents
Manuscript: Famous name of the author, name of the author, name of the book or manuscript or photocopy, number of the copy, place of storage.
- Historical document: title of the document, classification number, place of storage.
- In referring to historical documents, the title of the document, the classification and access number, the name of the archive and for microfilms, in addition to the book specifications, it is necessary to mention the microfilm number and storage location.
